Matthew Shlomowitz makes concert music and performance pieces. His opera Electric Dreams was produced by Kunstuniversität Graz for the 2017 Musikprotokoll festival; a second production will be presented by Grand Théâtre de Genève, Am Stam Gram and Contrechamps in Geneva in season 22/23. He has recently been working on a series of lecture styled performance pieces addressing issues such as aesthetic taste, emotion and listening. In 2018, asamisimasa released a CD of his work on the All That Dust label, and his work Glücklich, Glücklich, Freude, Freude, for keyboards and orchestra, was premiered at 2019 Donaueschinger Musiktage. Matthew teaches composition at the University of Southampton and co-directs Plus Minus Ensemble. www.shlom.com
